Welcome to Adorable News

My name is Linda Garrould and I am Managing Director of, a luxury gifts e-boutique which I recently launched. I have called my website, I Adore Your as I only sell gifts that I would find adorable to receive. I want to use this blog to share my experiences of running my own business, my gift ideas, letting everyone know more about the gifts I have selected, and hopefully get some feedback about the my website, and the service I am providing.

A little bit about me
I live in East Anglia and have been married to John for nearly 5 years – the man who can tolerate anything, even me worrying him about what ribbons I can tie my gift boxes with. I can hardly believe it but I have spent the last 11 years working in IT Development and Management. I resigned from my job as an IT Manager as I needed new challenge and wanted to be my own boss. It has been a steep learning curve but I am enjoying every minute. As you can see from my website link one of my first tasks was to create an e-boutique.

Made in the UK
I have always been fascinated by retail – well, women always know how to shop, so I thought why not combine this with my IT and creative skills. I have spent the last few months carrying out research, attending trade shows and meeting suppliers, which was tiring but great fun. Many of the gifts on my website are made in the UK, which is important to me as I think the small cottage industry is one of the things this country does best. Indeed, our candle supplier has moved from making candles over their kitchen sink to a barn and showroom in four years – what a great achievement for British ingenuity!

Please, please have a browse and let me know what you think of my website, and I will keep blogging with some new and I hope interesting gift ideas. You might also want to sign up for my I Adore Your newsletter for a chance to win some scrumptious Belgian Chocolate and three of those wonderfully scented candles I was just talking about.

Thought for the day
Stop eating chocolate, start your own company and never be bored again!
